A change is a good as a rest

Well I just spent a morning doing something completely different. The National Trust property at Dinefwr in Llandeilo, where my office is, were hosting the Dyfed Schools cross country championships and they needed additional staff to help with the practicalities. So,on a very very beautiful and frosty morning, I have just helped direct the parking of endless mini buses and cars, not to mention 4 coaches, on the very limited parking space available. It was very hectic and a bit disorganised but enormous fun and a good excuse to be out in the most stunning setting watching hundreds of young people getting lots of healthy exercise running round a frozen field, their knees red with the cold.

Normally this field has the famous White Park Cattle in it. I have always said this is the most interesting and varied role in the National Trust and this was certainly a new experience for me.
